Mumbaikars woke up to a rainy morning on November 8. The Indian Meteorological Department predicted ‘partly cloudy sky’ for the next 48 hours. Mumbai Rains have not shown the usual trend this year. Every time, rains take a complete backseat after mid-October and very light showers are seen if any. However, this time, the month of November also saw some heavy rains wherein the Santa Cruz observatory recorded 46 mm of rainfall on the first day of November, due to Cyclone Maha, which was in proximity of the city.
