Vice President Leni Robredo visited the residents of Sitio Macantog in Barangay Tandang Kutyo in Tanay, Rizal, to lead the ceremonial turnover of solar kits from One Meralco Foundation Inc. on Thursday, November 7, 2019. VP Leni’s office, through its partnership with Meralco, installed 29 units of solar kits in each household and in Sitio Macantog. This was made possible through the recommendation of Marky Talibutab, subject of the 2018 Istorya ng Pag-asa Film Festival (INPFF) finalist "The Climbing Puppeteer", a hiker who has been helping poor communities in the mountains. About 60 families in 24 households in Sitio Macantog—a remote community reachable only through an hour-long hike —have no access to potable water and electricity.
