German chancellor Angela Merkel is in India on a two day visit. She was accorded a ceremonial reception at the Rashtrapati Bhavan this morning - later she met Prime Minister Narendra Modi - the two leaders are said to have discussed a range of issues. 22 pacts in fields such as space, civil aviation, maritime technology, medicine and education have been inked.
