N. Korea's Moranbong band to tour China in December to celebrate 70 years of bilateral ties
  • 4 years ago

North Korea's most famous musical group, the Moranbong Band, will be touring China for the first time in four years.
According to sources, they'll be playing several Chinese cities in December.
The concerts are to celebrate the 70th anniversary of the regime's diplomatic ties with China,... and they might be attended by Chinese President Xi Jinping and Premier Li Keqiang.
The Moranbong Band was named by Kim Jong-un himself.
Their visit to China is notable because four years ago, they canceled a series of concerts there... after China objected to the content of their shows, which referenced nuclear weapons and missiles.
