nearly 50 billion burgers per year. However, the cost of these burgers
depend on which state they're being
made in, as found by Simply Thrifty Living. The most expensive state for burgers
is Hawaii, where the average price of a
home-cooked cheeseburger is $2.92. Arizona is home to the least expensive
home-cooked cheeseburger,
at an average of only $2.34. The average cost of a home-made cheeseburger
in Texas, which accounts for roughly 13 percent
of the country’s cattle inventory, is $2.51. When it comes to the origin of the
cheeseburger, it is not clear whether it was
invented in Colorado, Kentucky or California. Of the three, Colorado has the least-expensive
home-cooked burger, costing only $2.44. California’s average price is
$2.55 and Kentucky’s is $2.52.
