British Ports Association on port security checks

More than 30 agencies are involved in security checks and assessments at UK ports – according to the British Ports Association. But Chief Executive Richard Ballantyne says that ports now face ‘a more diverse range of threats’ since the closure of the Calais migrant camp in France. His comments follow the discovery of 39 bodies in the back of a lorry container on Wednesday. Report by Chinnianl.
