The video, shot in the city of Shanwei in Guangdong Province in the evening of October 20, shows waves washing up hundreds of fish onto a beach and people can be seen holding buckets while collecting them.
The reason for the phenomenon is still unknown, reports said.
It is thought the locals were going to eat the fish.
