Bersatu secretary-general Marzuki Yahya said that he believes DAP central committee member Ronnie Liu's remarks on forming a government without Bersatu were his personal opinion and called on DAP to release a statement on their stance on the issue.

In a commentary published by Malaysiakini yesterday, Liu had criticised Prime Minister Dr Mahathir Mohamad's performance.
