In the month of Kartik, the Mahaparava of Deepawali also comes and it starts with Dhanteras. The festival of Dhanteras is celebrated on Krishna Trayodashi of Kartik month. Lord Dhanvantari, Mata Lakshmi and Kubera are worshiped on Dhanteras.


कार्तिक का महीना शुरू होने के साथ ही कई पर्व और त्योहारों का समय भी आ जाता है। ऐसा माना जाता है कि इस महीने में भगवान विष्णु चार माह की निद्रा के बाद जागृत होते हैं और एक बार फिर इस सृष्टि की बागडोर संभालते हैं। कार्तिक माह में ही दीपावली का महापर्व भी आता है और इसकी शुरुआत धनतेरस से होती है। कार्तिक माह की कृष्ण त्रयोदशी को धनतेरस का त्योहार मनाया जाता है। धनतेरस पर भगवान धनवंतरी, माता लक्ष्मी और कुबेर की पूजा की जाती है।
