BEAUMONT, TEXAS — Four prisoners who repeatedly escaped jail only to return with booze and cell phones were caught in the act and promptly taken into custody.

According to a Facebook post by officials at Jefferson County, four men at the Federal Prison Complex in Beaumont, Texas decided to escape prison grounds but were caught by investigators and U.S. Marshals hiding behind the complex on October 11 around 10:30 p.m.

The men tried to make a run for it, but were caught and taken back to the prison.

Officials also seized contraband the guys were carrying, including whiskey bottles and cell phones.
