The Original Rainbow Cone opened in 1926 and became Chicago’s most legendary ice cream destination. The signature ice cream cone is comprised of five flavors: chocolate, strawberry, Palmer House (New York vanilla with cherries and walnuts), pistachio and orange sherbet. Insider’s Herrine Ro visits the shop and talks to the third generation owner Lynn Sapp. Herrine tries out the dessert and talks to the customers about why the ice creamery is so iconic.
