Resort to Host 2020 G-7 Summit The decision to host the upcoming
Group of Seven (G-7) summit at President
Donald Trump's resort was announced by
Acting White House chief of staff Mick Mulvaney. The Trump National Doral Miami
is a south Florida golf resort. Mick Mulvaney, Acting White House Chief of Staff,
via NBC News According to the White House,
Trump will not profit from holding
the G-7 summit at a Trump resort. Aside from a president's salary,
the domestic emoluments clause of the
Constitution states that the president shall
not receive "other Emolument from the United States." According to Mulvaney,
about a dozen other locations
were considered for the summit. The Acting White House Chief of Staff
claimed that holding the G-7 at
Trump's resort would benefit the
government with "roughly 50% savings."
