Situated in south-central Mumbai, Dharavi assembly seat is known as the largest slum in Asia. Dharavi has a population of about 7 lakhs spread over 2.1 square km. धारावी विधानसभा सीट दक्षिण-मध्य मुंबई में स्थित धारावी एशिया के सबसे बड़े झोपड़पट्टी के रूप में जाना जाता है। 2.1 स्क्वायर किमी में फैली धारावी की आबादी करीब 7 लाख है। 1999 से ये सीट कांग्रेस का गढ़ है। 2009 से लगातार दो बार से वर्षा एकनाथ गायकवाड़ यहां विधानसभा चुनाव जीत रही हैं। धारावी मुबंई साउथ सेंट्रल लोकसभा सीट के अंतर्गत आता है। धारावी विधानसभा सीट अनुसूचित जनजाति के उम्मीदवार के लिए आरक्षित है। धारावी मुस्लिम बहुल आबादी वाला क्षेत्र है।
