Germany's "Super KV-1" Beutepanzer (PzKpfw. KV-1B 756(r)) - Captured Tanks of WW2
  • 5 years ago
A dive into the history and specifications of one of the most unique German "trophy tanks" (Beutepanzers) of WW2, the Panzerkampfwagen KV-1B 756(r). This tank was produced from a modification of one of the many KV-1 tanks that Germany captured from the Soviet Union and pressed into service, alongside many other captured pieces of equipment. Only 1 specimen is known to have actually been produced through this modification. It is likely to have served during the Battle of Kursk, when Panther and Tiger tanks had already become available.
