Idina Menzel in Talks
to Star in 'Cinderella' Menzel is in talks to
play the evil stepmother in
Sony's musical adaption of the folk tale. The 'Frozen' actress is being considered
for Evelyn. In popular versions of the story,
the stepmother is cruel to her stepdaughter, Cinderella. Idina famously voiced Queen Elsa
in 'Frozen.' She has also starred in the
Broadway shows 'Wicked' and 'Rent.' She won a Tony award in
2004 for her performance in 'Wicked.' Camilla Cabello will star as Cinderella. Cinderella's Fairy Godmother
will be played by 'Pose' star Billy Porter. The film is based on
an idea by James Corden.
