Trump Defends Giuliani: 'Rough Around The Edges' But A 'Great Guy'

President Trump defended Rudy Giuliani on Saturday.
President Trump has defended Rudy Giuliani, calling his embattled personal attorney "rough around the edges" but a "great guy."
The president wrote in a Saturday tweet: "So now they are after the legendary 'crime buster' and greatest Mayor in the history of NYC, Rudy Giuliani. He may seem a little rough around the edges sometimes, but he is also a great guy and wonderful lawyer. Such a one sided Witch Hunt going on in USA. Deep State. Shameful!"
Trump's post comes on the heels of a New York Times report which says Giuliani is being investigated about possibly breaking lobbying laws related to his handling of matters with Ukraine.
Despite Trump's recent tweet, the president seemed to distance himself somewhat from Giuliani Friday night, saying, "I haven't spoken to Rudy. I spoke to him yesterday, briefly. He's a very good attorney and he has been my attorney."
