A tea-seller had the surprise of his life after a wild elephant barged inside his shop and satiated itself in southern India.

The incident took place on October 8 in the village of Pattavayal near Ooty, a popular tourist town in Tamil Nadu.

The video shows a wayward tusker in the kitchen of a teashop feasting on wheat flour.

Fortunately the elephant was so busy eating that it didn't pay attention to people who were trying to scare it away.

Eventually it wandered off without harming anyone.
