New 'Joker' Movie
According to the 'Hollywood Reporter,'
Leto felt "alienated" by the new film. Leto played the Joker
in 2016's 'Suicide Squad.'
A 'Suicide Squad' spin-off starring
Leto's character was announced in 2018,
but Warner Bros. recently cut it from its list of upcoming projects.
Leto will also not appear in the upcoming 'Suicide Squad' sequel.
Todd Phillips' 'Joker,' starring
Joaquin Phoenix, earned $96 million
at the U.S. box office last weekend.
'Joker' was the largest opening of all-time for an October release,
breaking the record previously
held by 2018's 'Venom.'
