Chinese basketball fans warmly welcomed Los Angeles Lakers basketballer LeBron James at a hotel in Shanghai last night (October 9).
The video shows dozens of basketball fans shouting "LBJ" loudly when James walked through the hotel hall.
An excited woman can be heard screaming and shouting "LeBron" repeatedly when he walked past.
China's state television and Tencent Holdings Ltd. stopped NBA broadcasts after Daryl Morey, the Houston Rockets' manager, tweeted "fight for freedom, stand with Hong Kong" on October 4 to show his support for the anti-government protests in the country.
However, the planned Lakers vs Nets preseason game at 7:30 pm local time today (October 10) in Shanghai is still on track to be played.
