Second day of Extinction Rebellion sees more protesters arrested in London

Several Extinction Rebellion protesters were arrested on Whitehall just outside Downing Street in London on Tuesday evening (October 8).

Yesterday, Prime Minister Boris Johnson - the current occupant at 10 Downing Street - called the protesters "uncooperative crusties" and "hemp-smelling bivouacs".

Footage captured shows several protesters being arrested and some having their arms cut out of poles by police with power tools as hundreds of protesters watch and cheer those led away.
