Anti-mainland sentiment grows in Hong Kong as companies with Chinese links or critical of protesters targeted

Ongoing anti-government protests in Hong Kong have resulted in growing animosity toward business with links to mainland China or those which have been critical of demonstrators. The unrest, which initially stemmed from a dispute over a now-withdrawn extradition bill, has expanded to include other key demands, including universal suffrage.  But over the past few weeks, protesters have started to break into and vandalise specific businesses and banks.
