Rohit Sharma became the first Indian opener in 41 years to score two centuries in a Test match at Vizag on Saturday. Rohit scored 176 in the first innings and 127 in the second innings to achieve the rare feat. The previous Indian batsman to do so was Sunil Gavaskar. The 32-year-old also became the first batsman to score two centuries in his debut Test as an opener.The Mumbai batsman hit 13 sixes in the match, six in first and seven in the second innings.

भारत-दक्षिण अफ्रीका के बीच तीन टेस्ट की सीरीज का पहला मैच विशाखापट्टनम में खेला जा रहा है। टेस्ट के चौथे दिन शनिवार को दक्षिण अफ्रीका की टीम पहली पारी में 431 रन पर ऑलआउट हो गई। भारतीय टीम ने पहली पारी में 502 रन बनाए थे। इस तरह टीम इंडिया को 71 रन की बढ़त मिल गई। दूसरी पारी में भारत के विराट कोहली और रविंद्र जडेजा क्रीज पर हैं। रोहित शर्मा ने लगातार दूसरी पारी में शतक लगाया। वे 127 रन बनाकर आउट हुए। उन्होंने पहली पारी में 176 रन बनाए थे। वे बतौर ओपनर पहले टेस्ट की दोनों पारियों में शतक लगाने वाले पहले बल्लेबाज हैं।रोहित दोनों पारियों में शतक लगाने वाले छठे भारतीय बल्लेबाज हैं।
