Driverless police vehicle rams into standing bikes and restaurant in north India

A police vehicle without a driver at the wheel rammed into a restaurant and some standing bikes at a roadside in north India.

On the morning of September 30 in Kanpur the police van was parked at the roadside, with two policemen and two prisoners behind the cabin in the vehicle.

The driver and some other policemen had stepped out for some breakfast, when suddenly the police vehicle started moving towards the footpath, first ramming into a roadside shop then some bikes and finally a restaurant, damaging the entrance.

Three people suffered minor injuries and the incident is being investigated.
