बिहार और महाराष्ट्र में पान मसाले पर बैन लगने के बाद अब राजस्थान सरकार ने भी पान मसाला बैन कर दिया है इस तरह से राजस्थान तीसरा ऐसा राज्य बन गया है जहां पान मसाला बैन है. राजस्थान सरकार ने महात्मा गांधी की जयंती के अवसर पर राज्य में मैग्नीशियम कार्बोनेट, निकोटिन, तंबाकू या मिनरल ऑयल युक्त पान मसाला और फ्लेवर्ड सुपारी के उत्पादन, भंडारण, वितरण और बिक्री पर प्रतिबंध लगाने की घोषणा की है। एक सरकारी बयान के अनुसार, महाराष्ट्र और बिहार के बाद राजस्थान देश का ऐसा तीसरा राज्य बन गया है, जहां इन उत्पादों पर पूर्ण प्रतिबंध है।
