Allyson Felix Breaks Usain Bolt’s
World Titles Record.
33-year-old Allyson Felix of Team USA has
officially broken Usain Bolt’s record for the
most world titles at the World Championships.
She took home the gold in the mixed gender 4x400m
relay on Sept. 29, putting her at a total of 12 gold medals.
Bolt previously held the record
with 11 gold medal wins.
Felix achieved the record just
10 months after giving birth to her
daughter via emergency C-section. .
After the race, Felix called
her accomplishment “really special.”.
It was really special… It’s been a crazy year
for me, so just to be here to be running with
this great team, I just feel so blessed, Allyson Felix, to NBC Sports.
Felix has won a total of nine medals at the Olympic
Games and is the only female track and field
athlete to ever win six Olympic gold medals.
