Then, Mic's Evan Ross Katz sits down with Sasha Velour, the winner of season nine of RuPaul's Drag Race. Velour puts on a monthly drag show in Brooklyn, New York, that celebrates queer diversity. “My goal is to co-opt the privilege that I have and use it as a tool for changing the system... [to shift] the whole nature of our community so that it is safe and uplifting.”
