Tourists wrapped up in coats in northern Thailand on Wednesday (October 2) after officials warned of an unseasonal cold snap.

Temperatures dropped to 10 degrees in Chiang Mai province after a cold air mass arrived from China.

Tourists on the Doi Inthanon mountain wore coats at sunrise as they watched the mist rise from the valleys below.

The Chiang Mai Provincial Health Office warned residents to take care during the cold weather and wear thick clothes to prevent ''cold, flu and fevers''.
