Alison Brie Schermerhorn is an American TV and film actress from Hollywood, California. Brie was introduced to the arts at a very young age as her father worked in the entertainment industry as a reporter and musician. Brie began acting onstage at the Jewish Community Center in Southern California and moved on to earn a theater degree from the California Institute of the Arts. Brie worked as a clown at birthday parties before making her first on screen debut as a hairdresser on the TV show, Hannah Montana. Brie then went on to land the roles starring as Annie Edison in the comedy series, Community (2009-2015) and Trudy Campbell in the drama series, Mad Men (2007-2015). Alison is most known for her role Ruth Wilder in the Netflix comedy series GLOW (2017–Present), which she has been nominated for two Golden Globes.
