Iraq, Syria reopen major border crossing retaken from IS (2)

Iraqis gather for the re-opening of the border crossing near the town of al-Qaim on the Iraq-Syria border, that was re-taken by Iraqi security forces from the Islamic State (IS) group jihadists in late 2017 as part of a massive operation backed by an international coalition against the jihadists' self-proclaimed "caliphate".
