South Korea's Hyundai Motor Group hires ex-NASA researcher to develop flying cars

Hyundai Motor has established an 'Urban Air Mobility Division' to develop the core technologies needed for flying cars.
The Korean auto giant has appointed a former NASA aeronautics researcher to lead the team.
Shin Jai-won has worked on cutting-edge aviation R&D at NASA for 30 years.
The renowned engineer said the new division will work to establish Hyundai as a leading force in urban air mobility,… a sector that is expected to grow into a market worth one-and-a-half trillion U.S. dollars by the year 2040.
