A police officer jumped into a pond to rescue a two-year-old girl after she fell over the guardrails in southern China's Guangdong Province.

The CCTV video, shot in the city of Foshan on September 25, shows a girl leaning on the guardrails when her mum was playing on her phone beside her.

However, the girl suddenly fell over the guardrails and dropped into the fish pond. A police officer patrolling the area ran to the site and immediately jumped into the pond.

Thanks to the police officer, the girl didn't suffer any injuries.
