Apple Will Reportedly Release Films in Theaters Before Apple TV Plus.
According to reports, the tech giant is
considering a traditional theatrical release plan.
According to the plan, films would
play in theaters for 12 weeks
before being available to stream.
The decision may give Apple the
upper hand with attracting talent
against major competitors like Netflix.
Netflix typically limits their theatrical
releases to 21 days, preventing them
from playing in major national chains,
which many filmmakers prefer.
Apple is set to test its theatrical
release plan sometime in 2020
with Sofia Coppola’s ‘On The Rocks.’
