Massive fire blows roof off of plastic factory in northern India

A massive fire gutted part of a plastic factory and blew off its roof after breaking out early this morning (September 25) in northern India.

The incident took place in Agra, Uttar Pradesh state, and fortunately no casualties have been reported so far.

Visuals showed thick plumes of smoke billowing from the facility, a plastic chair manufacturing plant.

According to reports, at least 10 fire engines were rushed to the spot, however, they failed to douse the blaze. As the fire raged on, an explosion blew the roof off of the building.

Seeing the blaze go out of hand, more officers from the Indian Air Force were called in, but luckily a brief spell of rain helped reduce the flames, which have since been contained.
