CRAWL Movie Featurette - The Silence - Sam Raimi, Alexandre Aja
Alexandre Aja's alligator horror flick Crawl (read our review) is taking a bit out of Digital HD on September 24th before arriving on DVD and Blu-ray on October 15th.
In Crawl, produced by Sam Raimi, "When a massive hurricane hits her Florida hometown, Haley (Kaya Scodelario) ignores evacuation orders to search for her missing father (Barry Pepper). Finding him gravely injured in the crawl space of their family home, the two become trapped by quickly encroaching floodwaters. As time runs out to escape the strengthening storm, Haley and her father discover that the rising water level is the least of their fears."
With the special features include an alternate opening and deleted/extended scenes, there are a handful of featurettes, one that we have an exclusive sneak-peek at. In the following clip that mixed behind-the-scenes shots with actual footage, Alex Aja explains the use of silence in building suspense within the alligator's nest.
