Ingenious traders build 'tractor train' to transport goods in central India

A fascinating video has emerged of a tractor train moving through the streets of central India.

The incident was filmed on September 18 in Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh state, showing a tractor engine carrying a bogey of at least 15 carts as people watched in amazement.

The tractor not only carries the carts but also transports the traders themselves.

The carts were assembled one after the other and contained goods, which were secured by placing tarpaulin over them.

Reports said the incident takes place during the time small businessmen move their respective carts between Govindpura haat and TT Nagar to sell the goods at the "haat" (an open market place).

The overly long vehicle has not caused any disturbances so far as it travels before the rush hour, thus easily avoiding traffic.

The arrangement was thought up after several traders came up with a plan to move their carts together.
