Indian man carries motorbike on shoulder over flooded road so it doesn't get wet

A motorbike rider in central India didn't want to get his treasured vehicle submerged while crossing a flooded road so he wound up carrying it over on his shoulders.

Nagayya Matha, 32, was returning to his home in Tarapura village in Sindagi Taluk, Karnataka state on September 13 when he found the road was flooded, prompting him to carry his bike.

Nagayya said he was confident of wading through the knee-deep water, which would have otherwise entered his bike’s engine.

Due to heavy rains in the region, the nearby Bheema river has swollen and flooded many villages like Tarapur.
