movie ‘Monster-in-Law’ by $10 million. .
It is the biggest live-action opening
of her 24-year acting career.
It is also a career high for fellow actress
Constance Wu, as her biggest opening weekend
was previously ‘Crazy Rich Asians’ at $26.5 million.
'Hustlers,' with only a $20 million budget,
was initially projected to earn $25 million.
Instead it was the second highest grossing movie
of the weekend, only being beat by ‘It Chapter 2,’
which took the number one spot with $40.7 million.
