Tradition merges with protests at Hong Kong’s Mid-Autumn Festival

Hong Kong observed the Mid-Autumn Festival amid the shadow of protests against the government and their handling of the now withdrawn extradition bill. The fire dragon danced as usual and people gathered in Victoria Park to admire the lanterns on public display.  But across the harbour, a human protest chain was formed across Lion Rock, and protest songs and chants echoed through malls and public spaces.
