announced a $120,000 giveaway .
for 10 random families during his opening statements. .
Yang's "Freedom Dividend" is his signature campaign promise, .
where every citizen
over the age of 18 will
receive $1,000 a month. .
The money will come
out of his campaign fund. .
A campaign official said Yang will still pay the families the full amount even if he drops out of the race.
