‘Robot doctors’ do morning health checks on Chinese preschoolers
  • 5 years ago
Robots have been put to work in China to do routine morning health checks on preschoolers at more than 5,000 kindergartens across China. The Walklake machine, designed by a company in Suzhou in China’s eastern province of Jiangsu, uses facial recognition technology and artificial intelligence to do the health screenings.  The device takes about three seconds to “examine” each pupil, and will alert teachers and school nurses if it detects any problem requiring a human follow up.
