"Ocean's 8," which boasts a stellar ensemble cast, is expected to top the box office for the weekend ending June 10, knocking "Solo: A Star Wars Story" into second place.
The spinoff that stars Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, Anne Hathaway, Helena Bonham Carter and Rhianna is expected take in the region of $35 million to $45 million, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
"Ocean's 8" sees Bullock play Debbie Ocean, the estranged sister of Danny Ocean, played by George Clooney in the trio of Ocean's movies.
Other releases this weekend include action genre flick "Hotel Artemis," which stars Jodie Foster, Dave Bautista, Jeff Goldblum and Sterling K. Brown, and the well reviewed supernatural horror movie "Hereditary." Both of those films are expected to take between $6 million and $8 million on their debuts.
As far as holdovers go, "Solo: A Star Wars Story" and "Deadpool 2" are expected to perform the strongest with takes in the region of $14 million and $12 million respectively.
