Ancient tombs and temple restored in Luxor

Two ancient tombs at the necropolis of Dra' Abu el-Naga' and four chapels at Karnak's Khonsu Temple were inaugurated in Luxor, following restoration works. Visitors will now be able to access the sites.
The two restored tombs at the Dra' Abu el-Naga' necropolis date back to the 19th Dynasty and 20th Dynasty. The Khonsu Temple, which provides an example of New Kingdom temple, is believed to have been built by Ramesses III. The restoration works were carried out by the American Research Centre in Egypt (ARCE) mission and the Egyptian Ministry of Antiquities, with the funding provided by the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
