Vocabulary at the Gym

I was just in the gym and I was thinking of all the fun expressions and phrasal verbs that we use in English to describe different types of exercises. I don’t know why, but for some reason we use many phrasal verbs to talk about exercise. Here are some of my favourites. I hope you enjoy them and don’t forget to use them in your writing exam. They will get you extra points!

Exercise Vocabulary
To Work Out – When you do exercise, you can say you are going to “work out”. This is an American expression but we also use it in Britain too.
