A third impeachment complaint is being readied against President Aquino over the Disbursement Acceleration Program (DAP). Militant group Bagong Alyansang Makabayan is gearing up to file a third impeachment complaint against the President. It said it has the assured endorsement of party-list group Bayan Muna. Former Iloilo Rep. Augusto Syjuco filed the second impeachment complaint against the President, saying Aquino committed the ultimate betrayal of public trust for approving the DAP. He accused Aquino of using DAP to reward senators who voted for the conviction of former Chief Justice Renato Corona. The first impeachment complaint against Aquino was filed by lawyer Oliver Lozano on July 3, just two days after the Supreme Court ruled DAP was unconstitutional.
