'China, PH should work to advance common prosperity'
China's Ambassador to the Philippines Zhao Jianhua said Beijing and Manila must work to advance their common prosperity. Speaking to a group of Filipino businessmen on Tuesday, Zhao did not refer to the territorial dispute between the two countries but said both sides must focus instead on the things that unite them. He noted economic ties between the two countries are still weak. He explained the Philippines gets only 1.4 percent of China's outbound direct investment to 10 Southeast Asian countries, compared to Singapore's 46 percent. Mornings@ANC, July 3, 2014
