Hazing victim Guillo Cesar Servando is set to be cremated this afternoon. But his family has yet to come to grips with his death. Aurelio Cesar Servando told ANC there is no easy way to deal with their son's death especially when they see footage of his final moments. He is calling on those involved in the hazing incident that claimed his son's life to come forward. Servando said to give meaning to his son's death, he wants to make students aware of the dangers of joining fraternities, and the grief that comes with the senseless death of a child. Meanwhile, the Volunteers Against Crime and Corruption (VACC) said drastic reforms are needed, including harsher penalties for Anti-Hazing Law violators. Valenzuela Rep. Sherwin Gatchalian, a member of the House Committee on Higher and Technical Education, also wants an outright ban on hazing. ANC Dateline Philippines, July 2, 2014
