A bill is now pending in Congress prohibiting age discrimination against those applying for work. Senator Pia Cayetano said every Filipino must be given equal opportunity to apply for a job regardless of their age, but she admitted there will be some exceptions. The Employers Confederation of the Philippines (ECOP) agrees with the intention of the bill.
