MANILA - Lawyer Richard Cambe, the chief political staff of Senator Bong Revilla, is urging the Supreme Court to order the creation of special divisions in the Sandiganbayan that will try the pork barrel scam cases. In his petition, Cambe, a co-accused of Revilla for plunder and graft, said three special divisions should each hear cases of a group of conspirators. Cambe also called on the SC to order marathon hearings on the plunder and graft cases, limit the number of witnesses and disallow postponements for a speedy trial. The Sandiganbayan has rejected the Office of the Ombudsman's proposal for the creation of special divisions. The anti-graft court said the move would affect the operations of its other divisions.
