MANILA, Philippines – China is saying that the Philippines is trying to gain sympathy from the international community for its illegal acts. China’s deputy permanent representative to the United Nations made that statement at a UN Convention on the Law of the Sea (UNCLOS) meeting. Manila has an arbitration case against Beijing at the international tribunal.
