BIR not investigating people involved in pork scam

Bureau of Internal Revenue Commissioner Kim Henares clarified the agency is not investigating the tax payments of lawmakers and officials reportedly involved in the pork scam. In an interview on Bandila, Henares explained doing so would duplicate the investigations being conducted by other agencies. She said the BIR would rather wait for the results of the Justice Department's probe and use the evidence to check if there is tax evasion. Mornings@ANC, May 15, 2014
